Welcome to the North ShoreSheltering Program

Welcome to the North ShoreSheltering ProgramWelcome to the North ShoreSheltering ProgramWelcome to the North ShoreSheltering Program

Let's make our community a better place!

Dear Guests and Volunteers,

On behalf of the North Shore Sheltering Program Board and Staff,

we would like to thank you for your continuous support of the shelter by providing meals and serving during these uncertain times.

We would like to update you on the actions that the North Shore Sheltering Program is taking to ensure the safety of our guests as well as our volunteers:

  • Currently the number of guests staying at the shelter is approximately 14.
  • The kitchen, bathroom and living area are cleaned with Lysol and Clorox daily before we open. A deep cleaning of the kitchen and bathrooms, by a cleaning service, was done last week.
  • Volunteers are required to wear gloves at all times while they are at the shelter.
  • Our nurse met with all the guests to check their overall health and discuss good hygiene (washing hands and keeping appropriate distance from one another). We will continue to monitor the health of the guests including temperature checks if necessary.
  • Due to the limited number of guests we are able to follow the guidelines for social distancing.
  • Staff members are supervising all cleaning.
  • Staff members are wiping down all eating and food preparation surfaces with a disinfectant prior to volunteers arriving at the shelter.
  • All door knobs and drawer handles are being sprayed with Lysol regularly every evening.

We anticipate keeping the Shelter open until our closing date of March 31,

should circumstances change we will keep you updated.
